Telitha operates the only bookstore in the neighborhood where a lady shopper comes in asking for a can of fruit cocktail and Telitha politely informs her she’s in a bookstore, not a grocery but the lady insists on finding fruit cocktail so Telitha suggests a lovely coffee table foldout on how to create your own fruit cocktail and the lady bites and dashes out of the store. First sale today, notes Telitha when in comes Tom looking for a special tool to fix his toilet and Telitha reminds him he’s not in a hardware store but a bookstore so Tom ends up purchasing this highly detailed diagrammatic of assorted toilet tank tools and runs quickly out the door as his toilet is also running and this sort of exchange goes on all afternoon. Little did Telitha realize there were people in her neighborhood who could read but only as a last resort of course.
