Someone smarter than me mounted
a microphone on a probe mission-ed
to Saturn’s largest moon.
For a minute and forty-two seconds
I heard a thing
no one had heard before.
I may have once heard
wind rushing past my ear
while flailing madly down a hill.
This minute and forty-two seconds,
I could share with
every person in the world─
when wind rushed past the probe’s ear
as it raced madly downhill
on a journey to Titan’s surface.
That day, I held hands
with every person on Earth
at the top of a hill.
