There’s much to see here
when you’re coming on
to my husband
and he’s coming on
to yours

if only
in my mind’s eye
when I take upon myself
the perspective
of an electron microscope
to gather the gritty details

and that of a radio telescope
to take in the big picture
the photo array
though grainy

although no one
is squabbling

even though it’s Saturday night
in the hive

The bee-killing hornets
have descended

and the beekeeper
unamused
is not immune
to their sting.
